Finally warm weather!

Good Morning,
I'm sleeping in late today. I had a very busy weekend. I got to ride on a trailor decorated for the 4th of July! There was a parade in Canterbury Ct. where I live. I met many new people as well as another goat and several curious dogs. It was exciting to hear my name being shouted out as we rode by all the people. What a fun time. Sunday was very busy on the farm now that the icecream is open. I'm going to soak up the sun today and hang out with my farm friends. I hope to see you soon. Love Josie

April 18th was an exciting day here on the farm! The front yard was full of vendors at our second monthly flea market. There were customers coming and going all day from what I could see from the barn! I didn’t get left out though, because visitors came up to see me, Einstein, Nina and all the chickens throughout the day.

Make sure you come to the flea market next month and each month until fall. Who knows what kind of treasure you might find!

Join me and the rest of the gang at our next flea market on Saturday, May16th from 9:30-3:00.

Don’t forget – Mother’s Day is May 10th! There will be flowers for sale the week before.

Spring is finally Here

Good Day!
Today is Easter morning. I can see the daffadils are starting to come up and we at the farm are now able to walk around with No Snow in our hooves! My freind Kim brought a bunch of little kids up to the barn to visit. Boy the chickens sure are lucky, they were fed cracked corn. The family of 4 goats got to have treats too. Einstein and I were put in a pen. Sometimes we get a little TOO excited and will bump people to get their attention. We hope they had a good time. Einstein is walking with his horns held high these days. He is going to have the icecream stand named after him next month. I wonder if Nina is jealous. Well the chickens are hiding their eggs and we are all going to hunt for them after breakfast. I cant wait! Happy Easter and Happy Spring Love -Josie

Me and the Farm

February 11th, 2009

Hello,

This is Josie. This is my first blog so I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I am a boer goat, and I live at Josie's (that's me) General Farm in Canterbury. I figured I would keep everyone up to date about what's new at the farm, the General Store, and the many events that will be going on this year.

Today is a beautiful day. The weather has warmed up and we are all itching to escape the barnyard. Which by the way is what the crew and I did this morning. When my owner Julie came to feed us , I was all the way down to the gate. I tried to look innocent like it was no big deal but we were so caught! My friends that joined me included Einstein, a male Nubian goat (and my best friend) and Nina the llama. She's pretty hard to hide. There is a family of four Nigerian Dwarf gaots as well, 2 peacocks and about 45 cackling chickens.

We cannot wait until the pond melts. That means it will be safe for us to wander around and visit with the people comming to the store. We are hoping that alot of people come out this weekend. It is Valentines weekend. Do you know what this means?? It's my 2nd Birthday!

I can't believe I'm going to be two. Boy time flies. Einstein turned 2 last month as well.

We are having a BAKE SALE to help 2 churches raise money for a trip to Mexico. My folks are going too. They are going to help repair a church and work with children. I will miss them very much. Their friend Kim is going to take care of us while they're gone. I'll try to behave!

Welp, can't wait to write again, though it is tricky with these hooves of mine.

Come see our
website for more information, special events, PICTURES OF ME, and MORE

Hope to see you this weekend! -Josie josiesgeneralstore@sbcglobal.net
